Amendment to the By-Laws

Items 8 and 9 of the By-Laws have been amended as follows, item 10 has been added to the By-Laws

  1. COMPLAINTS

            All complaints must be made in writing to the CEO who, if unable to satisfy them, shall submit them without delay to the Board or committee concerned.

           If in the event the complaint relates to the CEO it must be addressed to the Chairman.

 

  1. Code of Conduct- Behavior General

This document, Members Code of Conduct, is a guide to members which summarises Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club’s (the Club) expectations of its Members’ and that of their guests.

 

The Code of Conduct has been developed to ensure a safe, friendly and respectful place for Members, visitors and staff to gather in the spirit of cooperation, relaxation, good will, fun and friendly competition.

 

The Golf Australia Member Protection Policy is endorsed and supported by Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club and is adopted by the Club in conjunction with this document.

 

Code of Conduct

All Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that:

Creates an environment and culture that is reflective of the Clubs core values being integrity, honesty, respect and responsibility. 

 

Members must not represent or denigrate the Club in any way, shape or form either in person, through the media or through any form of social media.

 

Members acknowledge that the Club is a family friendly environment and, therefore, refrain from using obscenities and loud boisterous behaviour inappropriate for such environment.

 

The Club is committed to ensuring that, at all times, members are treated with respect and dignity and protected from abuse, bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, unlawful discrimination, victimisation, and vilification. Members understand that the Club’s Management is responsible for instructing staff in the performance of their duties and that they have no authority to instruct staff in job performance and duties.

 

Members should be vigilant in reporting real or perceived safety hazards to the Club’s management and understand that they may make suggestions to the CEO regarding the operation of the Club for the betterment of the Club and should not direct complaints to Office Bearers or Directors;

Members will adheres to all By-Laws currently in force and effect;

Course Etiquette

Members are required to follow the standards laid out in the By-Laws to assist in repairing and making good the playing surfaces of the course at all times and to instruct their guests as to these requirements.

Dress Code

Members and their guests are required, at all times, to adhere to prevailing dress code for both the course and the clubhouse.

Grievance and Resolution 

If a Member has a grievance with a fellow Member or a member of staff, the Grievance must be raised in a timely manner with the CEO and not directly with the member of concern.

 

Any breach of this Code of conduct, Golf Australia Member Protection Policy, By-Law or Constitution could result in the suspension or expulsion of membership or any other penalty deemed fit by the Board or their representative.

Code of Conduct- Fairness of Play

(In conjunction with the local rules the Rules of Golf)

No member shall take any advantage with respect to play or scoring that is not available to all members and in line with local rules and the Rules of Golf. Members shall at all times while on the clubs course ensure that they are familiar with the rules and play within these rules for all events. Any member who, in the opinion of the Board is believed to have taken an unfair advantage, deliberately recorded an incorrect score or claimed a prize by deception shall be liable for suspension or expulsion from membership as determined by the Board.

  1. Child safe Policy

Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club is committed to ensuring that all persons under the age of 18 are provided an environment where they feel safe and supported. We are committed through leadership to ensuring that young people at our club are protected from all forms of harm including psychological, physical and emotional. Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club supports and endorses the Guide to Child Safe Standards as developed by the NSW Office of the Childrens Guardian.

Working with Childrens Checks (WWCC)

As part of this policy, we require all persons over the age of 18 who regularly have contact with persons under the age of 18 on an on going and one on one basis to obtain, and provide to the club, a Working with Children check.
